Happy October Half Term!
Happy October Half Term!
I hope everyone is enjoying some well-deserved time off—however brief—to reconnect with family and recharge before the second half of what's traditionally one of the longest and most demanding terms of the year. With the clocks going back and darker evenings closing in, the stretch until Christmas can feel daunting, even though for most of us it's only seven weeks away. I'd encourage all my students to use this break to build up your energy reserves; sometimes the best thing you can do is simply down tools and rest.
That said, I know many of my older students—particularly those in Years 11 and 12—are facing November mocks, and some will be resitting exams the week we return. If you're revising over the break, please remember to work to a schedule that includes proper breaks. It's been a delight to see so many hardworking, dedicated students putting in the effort (even during half term!), but I also want to see you making time for fun and relaxation. Balance is key.
Have a happy Halloween 🎃 and a restful break—you've earned it!
