Welcome to the New Academic Year!

Whether you're already back in the classroom or counting down the final days of summer, the new academic year is upon us! A warm welcome to all my new subscribers – I hope you'll find these newsletters both interesting and valuable.

It's been a whirlwind for families everywhere, hasn't it? Getting uniforms sorted, buying new shoes (seriously, how do children's feet grow so much in just six weeks?), and preparing for the year ahead.

Celebrating Success at Achieve English

I'm thrilled to share that my first full year of tutoring has been an incredible success! When GCSE results were released last Thursday, I was delighted to see that every single one of my tutees achieved the grades they were working towards.

The bonds we developed throughout the year made their achievements even more meaningful, and I couldn't be prouder as they embark on their chosen paths:

  • One student is heading to their dream college for A-levels
  • Another is joining a golf academy with hopes of securing a sports scholarship to study in America – remarkable when you consider she completed 10 GCSEs while constantly touring for golf competitions!
  • Two students who were resitting can now progress confidently with their Year 13 studies, with nothing holding them back (one pursuing a Computing BTEC, another needing higher grades for their future medical career)

Looking Ahead: Spaces Filling Fast

As we head into this new academic year, my message to parents remains the same: book now, before exam panic sets in. There's such peace of mind in starting the year feeling confident and prepared, rather than scrambling when deadlines loom.

Spaces are filling quickly, so if you're considering support for your child, I'd encourage you to get in touch sooner rather than later.

Wishing you every success as you settle back into the rhythm of term time – and I hope you managed to enjoy at least some of your summer break!
